We spent last night in a Pod/Capsule hotel in Osaka so that we could spend a day exploring the city after Universal Studios. The Pods were great - really spacious and comfortable and Tom even had access to an Onsen area. What better way to start the day than a nice stack of sweet pancakes!
We spent the morning walking round Osaka aquarium which is enormous, they had a gigantic tank right in the middle with a lot of sharks inside some were about 9ft long.
We spent the late afternoon/evening walking around the streets of Dotonbori and eating the many snack foods on offer here. We stuffed ourselves full of dumplings, crabs legs, chicken and katsu sticks all before heading on the next Shinkansen home to our Tokyo apartment.
