Sweet enough for me!

Catnip fish toy

Catnip fish toy

The other night I took an hour and made this cute little cat toy for Moby.

I wanted it to look like a little fish skeleton just for my own enjoyment.

The toy is entirely stitched by hand, made from felt and stuffed with wadding.
The whole thing from thought to finish took about 1 hour.
It has a little fresh catnip on the inside to make it a real treat for Moby.

I think he enjoyed his new toy.

Society6 Cushion

Society6 Cushion

A while ago I ordered one of my very own Little Beatrice Society6 Cushion covers, it has now arrived and does not disappoint. I love this design (although some people may find the face less girl a little scary) I love her and I think it works great on a throw pillow cushion cover.

You can also view my other cushion cover designs here.

Card Commission - Bags

Card Commission - Bags

My latest card commission was another '40' celebration - in fact the same recipient. The last client being the partner and this client being the mother. This design features all her Anya Hindmarch handbags, a few high fashion magazines, and a present she was getting for her 40th.

Package for Ladiedottie

Package for Ladiedottie

About 6 weeks ago I sent a parcel to Ladie Dottie one of my favourite YouTube Vloggers.

It contained a painting I had done that reminded me of her room mate Hannah.

You can see their reactions for the package in the video below.

I'm so glad they liked it!

Crafting Presents - Laura Doll

Crafting Presents - Laura Doll

Last week it was my sisters birthday, and I decided to make her a Laura Doll just like my Tony Doll.
This was made using the pattern from Chloe Owen's beautiful book 'All sewn up'.

The doll was made entirely by hand, out of felt ribbon and other fabric found in my stash.
Don't they look super cute together.
Check out my sister sporting the matching look. : )

Card Commission - Jewellery

Card Commission - Jewellery

Recently I had the chance to design a lovely card commission personal to the recipient - her jewellery.

I added a little '40' charm necklace as it was to celebrate her 40th birthday.

Simon's Cat

Simon's Cat

As you probably already know, I love all things design/Illustration and Kitty Cats, so it won't surprise many people when I say I love Simon's Cat.

'Screen Grab'

The art style and the character design is just perfect. So if you have never watched a Simon's Cat video before I would highly recommend these little treats.

Photos from Snapfish

Photos from Snapfish

I was given this cute photo album from my Aunty for my birthday last year, but until now I haven't had any printed photos to put in it. Then I received 50 free prints from McDonalds and Snapfish, all I had to pay for was the postage. I chose the matte finish and some were instagram photos and they were cropped to a better size rather than stretched, overall I was really happy with the quality of printing and quick delivery time.

It has definitely made me want to print more of my photos.

Something slightly random

Something slightly random

Last weekend I went to a stunt show with my family. My dad loves bikes so when he heard this advertised on the radio with bikes, cars and monster trucks he knew we had to go.

It was a lovely sunny day and the show was really entertaining and funny, despite having a creepy clown in their routine.

What I Wore Today

What I Wore Today

By Gemma Correll.
With my Paper doll cards doing really well I was doing a little research and discovered this book.

What I wore today is a book that shows the guides and inspiration to create your own little fashion illustrations. It is such a beautiful book it took me ages to actually draw inside.
Below I have drawn a little sketch of the outfit I was wearing at the time, now all I need to do is colour it and keep on illustrating. Thanks Gemma for a really beautiful book.

Gemma Correll's What I Wore Today is available here for only £7.09

Blissful baking with the Sister

Blissful baking with the Sister

Last weekend I visited my family, my sister and my favourite thing to do when we get together is bake. This usually involves a new recipe or look. This weekend we decided to try our hand at cake pops and meringue cupcakes.

For the cupcake batter we made some chocolate flavoured madeira cake mix.

Whilst cooking the batter we made our meringue mix and piped them into little domes.

They took ages to cook!

Assembly.
We made a simple chocolate syrup sauce to glue together the cupcake and the meringue top.

Yum!
I got the idea from this recipe, however Laura and I swayed completely from the original, and just recreated the overall look.

Then we tried to make some cake pops.
We didn't follow a recipe for this at all and although they were messy they were so tasty.
