Beautiful Bargains

Beautiful Bargains

Beautiful bargain cards available at Wilkinsons.

The other week I picked up these little treats of design work for a mere £1.00 a card.
I'm always on the look out for some cute little pieces of design, and these greetings cards were perfect.

They have quite a few other little dog designs that fit into this range.

Betty&Walter Gift Set

Betty&Walter Gift Set

I actually bought this set for myself in the sales at Boots after Christmas. It is a lovely little gift set from Betty & Walter for Boots. Inside the set there was a cosmetics case, hand mirror, nail file, lip balm and hand cream. I was immediately drawn to the Betty & Walter range as it was so pretty with the prints and the packaging, but I am definitely not disappointed with the product.
Each item has been a staple product on my home desk for the past 4 months.

The best has to be the hand cream.
It's fragrance is just gorgeous Elderflower and Lemon, and the cream is really nourishing without leaving a sticky or greasy residue. It was actually being sold on its own over Christmas as a gift in a larger tube, and if I had known it was so nice I would have snapped it up.

Butlers Chocolates

Butlers Chocolates

Mum and Dad love to bring my sister and I gifts back from their holidays.
Laura usually asks for perfume, but because it takes me ages to get through a bottle I asked for some fancy chocolates, and I'm sure glad I did. I received this big box of Butlers Chocolates.

Surprisingly they did last quite a few days because they were just so rich.
They gave me a couple of bars of Godiva Chocolate both dark and milk as well. YUM.
Tom also received a couple of gifts, coffee beans, Jamaican rum and jerk sauce (I think he was very happy with his little haul).

Tony Doll

Tony Doll

Recently it was my friend Tony's Birthday and I decided to make him a little Tony.
The pattern came from a really nice book I own 'All Sewn Up' by Chloe Owens.

This book has loads of sewing/embroidery and embellishment projects.

For the doll section there is a boy and girl version.

The book has all the pattern pieces at the very back, you just have to scale them up to make them the required sizes. So I drew out all the pattern pieces and scaled them up on my computer, printing them out the correct size.

I arranged all the cut out cloth pieces to see what the finished doll will look like.
Then began my hand stitching.

Here is the finished result, a cute little Tony Doll.

Totoro

Totoro

I recently bought this threadless t-shirt online.
This cute design is named 'The Friendly Spirit' by Anna-Maria Jung and it is based on the Studio Ghibli animated movie My Neighbour Totoro.
I love getting little pieces of illustration from artists, and getting them on a t-shirt is even better.

Last week I was a little ill and my lovely office pulled together this care package for me.
Wanting me to get better soon, and be entertained whilst bedridden.

Moby is a big fan of the fishing game.

And a street cat named Bob.

Lego Shop!

Lego Shop!

In the new Trinity shopping centre in Leeds there is a Lego shop.
I've never seen a Lego shop before, and to be honest I loved everything, I could have spent hours in there happily and I'm sure I will have another trip there soon.

So when we saw these little Lego icon key rings, Tom and I just had to treat ourselves.

Tom chose Gimli from Lord of the Rings.

I chose Raphael, the best teenage mutant ninja turtle.
