Happy Bunnies!

Happy Bunnies!

As an Easter treat Body Shop is offering £3 off any purchase if you mention the phrase 'Happy Bunnies'.

So obviously I had to visit an have a look at all the goodies.

I found this Japanese Cherry Blossom set for only £10.
Eau du toilette and body lotion.

Then I found this Coconut Lip Butter, and with the phrase 'Happy Bunnies' I picked it up for only £1.
I'm a real sucker for anything Coconut - It's my favourite smell for shampoo/lotion/perfume etc and this little lip butter does not disappoint. It is really moisturising and lasts quite a long time, bought it just in time for all the cold weather so I think I will get my use out of it.

She also made some cookie dough.

Comic relief treat from work.
How cute are these little cake pops!

A real love of board games

A real love of board games

I have always enjoyed board games whether they be the basics Cluedo, Scrabble, or Pictionary that I played for years with my family, or whether they be the more nerdy ones I have found a love for in more recent years. The latest editions to my stash are Alhambra and Small World.

Alhambra
The aim of the game is to build your very own little city with points for having the majority of a type of building.

Small World
Conquer this small world while demolishing other races and gaining coins.

We discovered these cute little editions at The Travelling Man in Leeds City Centre.

Mucha Mermaid

Last week I worked on a piece of art inspired by the famous artist Mucha.
I have always loved and admired his style of work.

Now I just need a frame.

Venetian Masks

Venetian Masks

It was Tom's Mum's Birthday the other week and she asked me to paint her 2 Venetian mask canvas.

Sketching out all the masks, I tried to make them link with one another but still making them look really different. I loved the amount of detail I could put into each mask.

Just a snippet of the finished coloured piece.

Novelty fragrances?

Novelty fragrances?

I first bought the Harajuku original 'G' fragrance in college, firstly due to it being a very cute package and secondly it was by Gwen Stephani whom I loved. I never thought I would love the fragrance even more than this. Having tried many other fragrances since, and not really finding anything I loved, I went back to these little cuties. I bought them from Amazon at about £8 - £10 each.

The Original 'G' fragrance pictured on the right has a really fresh scent and smells of coconut.
Personally I can't wear any fragrance too heavy as they give me headaches so these light scents do the trick.

Once I put the original 'G' in my basket I saw the other little mermaid bottle available and couldn't resist.

Healthy living?

Healthy living?

Latest (and hopefully heartfelt) attempt at healthy living.
Food that is good for you but is also enjoyable.
We are going to be swapping out some of our meals for the ones in this book.

Just having a quick flick through there are loads of meals I would gladly eat right now.

Chicken and Coconut Curry
Griddled Vegetables
Chilli Salad Bowls
Spicy Bean and Vegetable Stew
Chicken and Ham Tangle Pie

Yum.

Comic book distractions

Comic book distractions

I bought my very first comic book during the last year of University for a project.
I had always admired the illustrative styles of comic book artists.

Having a Travelling Man in the Centre of Leeds has given me the chance to browse the shelves for new styles and interesting characters.
I picked up these three interesting comics a while ago.

I've always been a fan of the X-men characters and in particular Rouge.

I really liked the look of the art style and colours used on the Elephantmen Comic.

I picked up Sweet Tooth because it was the weirdest one I could find, yet somehow still cute in the character design.

After reading all three I really enjoyed the Elephantmen story as well as the artwork.
