New..

New..

Stockist, My greetings cards are now in the Bessemer Gallery, in the Winter gardens Sheffield.
I've been really busy over the last two days, creating a portfolio, designing patterns to send off to Gibson Holt, and squeezing in a bit of time to design some new greetings cards, and now I've found out I have tomorrow off work as well due to the Accessorize re-fit so even more time to focus on design!

P.S. I'm sat with Tenzin, my pet gecko lizard behind me in his vivarium, he's making some very strange noises as he is currently trying to shed a layer of skin.

Desk story..

Desk story..

Today me and tom took a little trip to go get some crickets for our little lizard tenzin, I ended up coming back with this really nice retro wallpaper roll and a cork board to pin up some inspiration in front of my desk. Both were only £1 : ).
So far staring at me from above my computer screen are some music posters loaned by a friend, some floral arrows made up of various papers, a mighty boosh brown paper bag, an empty cork board, and some small coloured sketches of cute robots.
Now these robots have been looking at me for a while now, but I didn't know what to do with them. And as it turns out all they needed were some more friends, as I have now begun making them into a brand new card design. : )

The first steps...

The first steps...

I have always made my own greetings cards, for as long as I can remember really. The ones I always saw weren't special enough or just not to my tastes, and so I began creating my own for personal use, just sending to family and friends. Until I had the idea to create cards to send on to people, to gain more publicity and traffic to view my website of work.
From the amazing response of individual people viewing my designs, we approached a couple of small local stores to gain feedback, to our surprise the stores wanted to buy my cards to have on sale within their shops. Right now they are in Syd and Mallory in the Forum Sheffield, and Blackwell's books Sheffield.
Stay tuned for a few other stockists coming soon.
